Greetings from the heart of Guyana! My name is Atesh Ramsamuj, and I proudly hail from Bank Essequibo, specifically the vibrant 1890 Block 8 in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. This area is not just my home; it is a place steeped in culture and tradition, where the rhythms of everyday life harmonize with the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River. Rich in natural beauty, our region is known for its friendly communities and the irresistible aroma of local delicacies like pepperpot and metemgee, which bring families together during festive moments.
As a resident of this beautiful country, I have witnessed the diverse cultures that thrive here—each with its unique contributions to our society. From the Hindu festivals celebrated by a quarter of our population to the vibrant sounds of calypso and chutney music echoing through our streets, Guyana is a melting pot of traditions and stories.
