Greetings! My name is Audrey Nedd, and I proudly call Essequibo my home, nestled on 31 Harris Street in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region. As a dedicated housewife, my days are filled with the rich aromas of traditional Guyanese cooking, from savory pepperpot to sweet black cake, which ties me to our cultural roots. Growing up near the banks of the Pomeroon River, I cherish the beauty of our lush landscapes and the warmth of our community. The river is not just a landmark; it’s a lifeline that connects us to our history and each other. I often reminisce about the stories shared under the stars, highlighting how our diverse cultures blend seamlessly in our daily lives, from the rhythms of calypso and soca music to the colorful festivals that light up our town.
