Hello! I’m Avinash Singh, a proud Guyanese currently residing on the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically in Regina Essequibo. As a fuel clerk, I engage daily with my community, ensuring that everyone has access to the essentials they need. My heart, however, is always rooted in the vibrant culture and rich history of Guyana, from the lively sounds of our music to the delightful tastes of our cuisine, like pepperpot and roti.
Growing up near the Pomeroon River, I cherish the natural beauty that surrounds me. Whether it’s a quiet afternoon fishing at the riverbank or enjoying the warmth of a family gathering filled with laughter, every moment reminds me of the unique blend of influences that make our culture special. I believe that despite being located in South America, we are undeniably Caribbean in spirit, as our history, music, and traditions connect us deeply with the broader Caribbean community.
