Greetings! My name is Avinash Inshanally, and I proudly call the beautiful region of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Living on Public Road, I’m surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant waterways that make Guyana so unique. From the majestic Essequibo River, affectionately pronounced ‘es-see-qui-bo’ by locals, to the rich biodiversity that fills our rainforests, every day is a reminder of the natural beauty that this country offers.
Being a Guyanese means embracing our diverse culture, and for me, that includes indulging in our traditional dishes like pepperpot and metemgee. The flavors of our cuisine are a celebration of our heritage, and I love sharing these culinary delights with friends and family. I also take pride in our local landmarks, such as the world's largest wooden building, which stands as a testament to our unique architectural history.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish connections with fellow expatriates around the globe. We often reminisce about our homeland, sharing laughter and stories of our adventures, such as the famous River Mora and the spirit of our communities. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
