Greetings from the heart of Guyana! My name is Awattie Sookwah, and I proudly call East Bank Essequibo my home. Nestled in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, this vibrant community is a blend of culture, warmth, and resilience. I have deep roots here, and you can often find me enjoying the scenic views along the Pomeroon River, or savoring our local delicacies like shrimp roti and doubles with tamarind. There's nothing quite like the taste of a mango punch on a warm day, which reminds me of the flavors that connect us all.
Being part of the Guyanese diaspora means carrying a piece of home wherever I go.
