Greetings! My name is Winston Baird, and I proudly hail from the beautiful community of Baramita in the Barima-Waini region of Guyana. As a miner, I spend my days exploring the rich natural resources of our land, contributing to an industry that not only supports our local economy but also connects us with the wider world. Growing up surrounded by the lush rainforests and vibrant rivers of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for the land and its resources, which are integral to Guyanese culture and heritage.
In my spare time, you can find me enjoying some of our local delicacies, such as pepperpot and metemgee, or relaxing by the Pomeroon River, taking in the stunning views that our region has to offer. The warmth of the Guyanese community is something I cherish dearly; it's the laughter shared over a meal and the stories passed down from our ancestors that unite us.
