Hello! I’m Balkaran Marks, a proud Guyanese labourer from the scenic Essequibo Coast, specifically 55 Second Street, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant region has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture, from the warm, welcoming smiles of my neighbors to the tantalizing aroma of fresh cook-up rice and pepperpot wafting through the air during festive times. I often think about our neighbors like Suriname and reflect on the shared histories and cultures that bind us.
