Hello! I’m Bas Mattie Nandlall, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast Sea Dam in Lima Anna, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of Guyana, I've developed a deep appreciation for our unique heritage. As someone who has seen both the challenges and triumphs of our nation, I embrace the changes brought by the recent economic growth, especially with the oil boom, while cherishing the traditions that define us. I often hear comments from our diaspora, like how some return with a newfound perspective on littering—reminding us that our culture of cleanliness should always be upheld, no matter where life takes us.
