As a laborer, I dedicate my days to supporting my family and contributing to our local economy. Though I work hard, I always make time to reminisce about the stunning views from Fort Island and the lively markets in Bartica. My heart beats for Guyana, and I often find myself dreaming about sharing these experiences with my loved ones, especially those who have yet to visit. Like many in the diaspora, I yearn to bring my family back home so we can connect with our heritage and create lasting memories together.
For me, Guyana is not just a place; it’s a feeling. From the sounds of our unique Creole dialect to the smell of pepperpot simmering in the kitchen, every aspect of life here holds a piece of my heart.
