Hello! I’m Bhagwanlal Boodnauth, a proud Guyanese labourer based in the beautiful community of Regina Essequibo Coast on 57 Back Street Windsor. Growing up in the lush Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I’ve always been surrounded by the vibrant culture that defines our country. Whether it's the aromatic spices of my mother's cook-up rice or the sweet taste of a fresh coconut water under the shade of a mango tree, Guyana's rich culinary heritage is deeply embedded in my life.
As a member of the diaspora, I carry with me the rich history and diverse culture of Guyana. We might not be nestled in the Caribbean Sea, but our hearts beat with Caribbean rhythm. Whether it's celebrating Mashramani with parades and lively music or indulging in the local delicacies like pepperpot during the holidays, each experience reminds me of my roots and the unity we share in the face of challenges, like those from our neighbors.
From the rolling hills of the Upper Pomeroon River to the bustling markets filled with laughter and vibrant chatter, I cherish every aspect of my homeland. I believe in the strength of our community, whether here or abroad, and the importance of supporting one another as we navigate life’s challenges.
