Welcome! My name is Bhodnarine Baychu, and I proudly call Regina Essequibo Coast my home. As a labourer by trade, I cherish the opportunity to contribute to my community while enjoying the simple pleasures of life in Guyana. Whether it's the soothing sounds of the Pomeroon River or the vibrant atmosphere of our local markets, there's always something to celebrate in our beautiful country.
Growing up in the rich cultural landscape of Guyana, I've developed a deep appreciation for our delicious cuisine, especially our beloved duck curry, which I highly recommend! I often enjoy preparing traditional meals with my family, sharing recipes passed down through generations that reflect our diverse heritage. Our culture is a wonderful blend of Indigenous, African, Indian, and European influences, and I feel fortunate to be part of this unique mosaic that defines who we are as Guyanese.
Though I currently reside in Guyana, I have many friends and family members around the world who share their experiences and keep our connections alive. Each story reminds me of our strength and resilience as a nation, as well as our endless potential. I hope to continue engaging with our diaspora community, sharing insights and experiences, and remaining proud of my roots while looking forward to a bright future for all of us.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
