Hello! My name is Bhoopaul Mangal, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home. Living on 19 Sand Pit Road, I’m deeply connected to the natural beauty of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, where the lush landscapes and vibrant rivers like the Upper Pom and River Kabakaburi inspire my craftsmanship as a carpenter. Building strong structures and beautiful furniture is not just my profession; it’s a way for me to honor the rich materials that our land provides.
Growing up surrounded by the unique flavors of Guyanese cuisine, from pepperpot to roti, I’ve always appreciated the importance of food in bringing people together. Whether it's sharing a meal with family or engaging with friends in the community, I cherish these moments that echo the warmth of our culture. I also take pride in connecting with fellow Guyanese, both at home and in the diaspora, who share stories of our homeland, whether it’s reminiscing about the lower Pom River or discussing the hidden treasures like New Found Land.
In everything I do, I carry the spirit of my roots with me. My journey as a carpenter is fuelled by the stories, traditions, and values passed down through generations. I believe that every piece I create holds a piece of our heritage, and I look forward to contributing to the growing legacy of Guyana, one handcrafted project at a time.
