Welcome to my little corner of the world! I am Bhowantie Mohabir, a proud housewife residing in the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically at 95 Old Road Devonshire in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Here, the lush green landscapes and the gentle flow of the river remind me of the rich heritage that defines our beloved Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant cultures and traditions of our people, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our culinary delights, especially dishes like chicken curry, dhall, and of course, the beloved Pepperpot during the festive season.
As someone who cherishes the connections we share, both locally and in the diaspora, I find joy in engaging with others about our rich history. The Essequibo River, a lifeline for many, holds a special place in my heart, reminding me of the stories and experiences that shape our identity as Guyanese.
