Hello! I’m Bibi Saeedan, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture, from the sweet aroma of freshly made pepperpot to the rhythmic beats of chutney music at local celebrations. My home is a mere stone's throw from the serene waters of the Essequibo River, a place that brings both tranquility and a sense of connection to our land.
Living in a country that blends diverse cultures, I embrace our unique heritage. Whether it’s the lively markets in Bartica or the bustling streets filled with the laughter of children, I cherish the warmth and spirit of my fellow Guyanese. Like many in the diaspora, I celebrate our identity with pride. Even though some may see Guyana as just another stop in South America, to me, it's a treasure trove of experiences waiting to be shared, much like the mouthwatering delicacies that tell our story.
