Hello! I’m Bibi Khan, a proud resident of the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up along the vibrant Coast 13 Public Road, I’ve been deeply influenced by our rich cultural heritage—an incredible fusion of Indigenous, African, Indian, and European traditions. Like many in our community, my family's history reflects this blend; my grandmother, for instance, was 3/4 Indian and 1/4 Scottish, embodying the diverse roots that make our nation unique.
Living in Guyana, I cherish our local flavors—from the savory delights of curry and roti to the sweet taste of black cake, especially during festive occasions. The warm smiles and hearty laughter of my neighbors remind me of the importance of community. Just the other day, I found myself reminiscing about trips to the Essequibo River, where the natural beauty takes your breath away. It’s a reminder that, despite the challenges we face, our home is filled with resilience and joy.
