Growing up, our family traditions often revolved around food — who doesn’t love a good plate of cook-up rice on a Sunday? It’s a dish that brings everyone together, much like the Chinese takeout we savored as kids, a treasured treat that still warms my heart today. Whether it’s hosting a gathering with friends or enjoying a quiet evening with family, sharing meals is a cherished part of our culture. I also love exploring the local flora and fauna, often taking trips to the stunning Kaieteur Falls, a true natural wonder that embodies the beauty of our country.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry the warmth of our community wherever I go. I take pride in our diverse heritage, celebrating the blend of Indian, African, Amerindian, and European influences that shape our identity. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
