Growing up in the vibrant community of Orangestein on the East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I have always been surrounded by the rich culture of Guyana. The aroma of our famous curry wafts through the air, reminding me daily of the flavorful dishes that make our cuisine the best in the Caribbean.
When I'm not working, I enjoy connecting with my fellow Guyanese, both near and far. Our diaspora shares a strong bond, celebrating our heritage and supporting one another through various challenges. Whether it’s reminiscing about the stunning Pom River or sharing updates on our country's progress as we navigate exciting changes like the discovery of oil, we take pride in our beautiful homeland and its potential for growth.
