Growing up along the Essequibo River has given me a deep appreciation for the rich history and natural beauty of our land. As a resident of this diverse region, I cherish our culinary delights, especially dishes like pepperpot and metemgee, which evoke fond memories of family gatherings and festivities. I often reminisce about the sweet flavor of guinep and the warmth of our community celebrations.
