Growing up in this vibrant community, I have always cherished the rich cultural heritage that surrounds me—from the tranquil rivers like the Pom River to the hearty meals filled with the flavors of our local cuisine. Whether it’s savoring a plate of metemgee with fresh catch from the river or celebrating festivals with family and friends, the heart of Guyana beats strongly in my daily life.
As someone deeply rooted in my community, I am often reminded of the resilience and spirit of our people. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
