Hello! I’m Bibi Mohamed, a proud resident of Coast 27 Lima New Housing in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this vibrant land, where the mighty Essequibo River flows and the lush landscape is filled with the rich culture and traditions that define us as Guyanese. Growing up here, I’ve learned to appreciate the simple joys of life, from sharing a plate of pepper pot with freshly baked special Guyanese bread to enjoying a hearty curry paired with puri, as is our custom.
As a member of the Guyanese community, I cherish our diverse heritage—where we come together as Caribbean people, celebrating our mixed roots. Whether it’s the rhythmic beats of our folk music or the colorful festivals that light up our streets, I feel a deep connection to my culture. Even from afar, in the diaspora, we continue to uphold our traditions and remind ourselves of the flavors and stories that make us who we are.
