Welcome! I’m Bibi Samsair, a proud resident of 677 North New Scheme in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots dig deep into the rich soil of this beautiful land, known for its lush rainforests and the mighty Essequibo River. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been shaped by the sounds of the river, the smell of fresh coconut and ripe mangoes, and the warmth of a community that feels like family. Whether it's enjoying a meal of pepperpot or festive cook-up rice during Diwali, my heart always returns to the flavors and traditions that define us.
As an active member of the diaspora community, I find deep comfort in connecting with others who share my heritage. I’ve often reminisced about home while enjoying our local delicacies, from fish curry to the sweetness of guava cheese. I strive to bridge the gap between those of us living in Guyana and our brothers and sisters abroad, creating a channel where we can share stories, cultural insights, and most importantly, the love for our homeland. Many of us have felt that pang of nostalgia—like my friend Ryan, who misses home and reflects on the simplicities of life back in Guyana.
