Greetings from the Essequibo Coast! My name is Bibi Jalil, and I proudly call the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage of this region has ingrained in me a deep appreciation for our local traditions, from the tantalizing flavors of cook-up rice to the warmth of our people. Whether it's a friendly gathering on the banks of the Pomeroon River or enjoying a plate of pepperpot during the holidays, these experiences have shaped my identity and the way I connect with others.
As a resident of the Essequibo Coast B Public Road West, I am fortunate to witness the unique blend of cultures that make Guyana special. Our local landmarks, like the historic Fort Island and the bustling markets, are a testament to our diverse heritage. I take pride in the spirit of resilience and camaraderie that defines our community, often reflected in light-hearted banter about our beloved rivalry with our Trinidadian neighbors—similar but certainly different!

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
