Growing up here, I’ve developed a love for our diverse culinary traditions. Whether it’s the delightful taste of roti (not rodi, as some might say!) or the rich flavors that accompany our local dishes, food plays a vital role in my life. Fellow Guyanese like @simonechalice5021 often reminisce about our cuisine, and I can wholeheartedly agree that it’s “my kinda food.” It not only nourishes but connects us to our roots and heritage.
As a proud member of the Guyanese diaspora, I hold dear the memories of my homeland. From the lush landscapes to our iconic river names—though sometimes mispronounced like Barrteeka, as noted by @theshammahnoel—I find joy in sharing our culture with friends and family around the globe.
