Whether it’s a Sunday cook-up or a special celebration, food is a central part of our gatherings, bringing family and friends together just like the lively gatherings at the Essequibo River.
As a resident of this beautiful region, I am inspired by the lush landscapes and the sense of community that defines our way of life. From the majestic Essequibo itself to the charming villages dotted along the coast, every corner of my home tells a story. I cherish the traditional celebrations, like Mashramani and Phagwah, that showcase our diverse cultures and the deep connections we share with our ancestors and each other.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
