Greetings! My name is Bishun Budhu, and I proudly call 9 Doorn Haag Leguan in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. As a dedicated farmer, I cultivate the rich soil of our land, producing a variety of crops that nourish the community and contribute to our vibrant culture. Growing up here, I’ve always been surrounded by the flavors of traditional Guyanese dishes, from aromatic pepperpot to sweet black cake, which remind me of our diverse heritage.
Guyana is a unique blend of cultures, and I embrace this diversity wholeheartedly. Whether it’s celebrating Diwali with Indian sweets or enjoying a lively masquerade during Mashramani, each festival reflects the rich history and connections that bind us. Our local music, infused with calypso and reggae rhythms, fills the air with joy, making each gathering a delightful experience.
