Hello! I’m Krishna Boyal, a proud resident of Moruca in the beautiful Barima-Waini region of Guyana. Nestled between lush greenery and the mighty rivers, my hometown is a vibrant mix of cultures, traditions, and breathtaking landscapes. Growing up here, I’ve been influenced by the rich heritage of the Indigenous peoples, Afro-Guyanese, and Indo-Guyanese communities, which is reflected in our local celebrations, music, and, of course, our delicious cuisine—from the savory pepperpot to the sweet, coconut-rich cookup rice.

Our country may be off the beaten path, but it has so much to offer—from the serene River Massarie Island at Wakpau to the stunning views along the Lower Pomeroon River.
