About LEO CHRISTOPHER BOYAL

About Leo Boyal

Greetings! My name is Leo Boyal, and I proudly call the lush landscapes of Barima-Waini my home. As a farmer, I work diligently to cultivate the rich soil that our ancestors have tended for generations. Here in Guyana, we embrace a diverse culinary heritage, from the famous pepper pot and delectable duck curry to the beloved cook-up rice that brings our families together. Each meal reflects our vibrant mix of cultures, celebrating the Indigenous, African, East Indian, and Chinese influences that shape our identity.

Living in this beautiful part of the world, I’m often reminded of the importance of community and connection. Whether it’s sharing a hearty meal with friends or exchanging stories under the stars, our bonds run deep. I've had the pleasure of meeting many who share a love for our homeland, and it warms my heart to see the diaspora spreading the word about Guyana’s natural wonders and cultural richness. From the majestic Harpy Eagle soaring through our forests to the invigorating oil and gas developments bringing new opportunities, our country is on the rise!

I invite you to explore Guyana and experience its beauty firsthand. Whether you’re visiting the historic Fort Zeelandia or indulging in a delightful meal of roti and duck, there’s something special waiting for all. Let’s celebrate our roots together, sharing in the love and pride we have for this extraordinary land. Big up to all who embrace our culture and help shine a light on Guyana’s potential!
