Greetings! My name is Brianna Cornette, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled along the beautiful banks of the Pomeroon River at 276 Ptolemy Avenue, my life is enriched by the lush landscapes, vibrant culture, and the warmth of my community. Growing up here has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the rich history of Guyana, often overshadowed yet bursting with potential and beauty. From the bustling Stabroek Market, where the aroma of spices and the sound of laughter fill the air, to the serene shores of our rivers, every corner tells a story.
As an advocate for my Guyanese heritage, I am passionate about sharing our local delicacies such as Swank, Salara, and Pepperpot, especially during the festive season. When Christmas comes around, the smell of Metemgi and Pone wafting from kitchens is a reminder of our rich traditions and culinary delights. I believe it's crucial to raise awareness about Guyana and its treasures, as too many people remain unaware of our existence and contributions.
