Hello! I’m Bruce Cyprian, a proud Guyanese labourer living on the beautiful East Bank Essequibo. Growing up in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I’ve always been surrounded by the vibrant culture and rich traditions that make our homeland special. Whether it’s the lush greenery of the Pomeroon River, the warmth of our community, or the unmistakable aroma of curry duck wafting through the air, every aspect of my life here is infused with the essence of Guyana.
Food holds a special place in my heart, and I love sharing the experiences I’ve had with our local dishes. You’ll often find me enjoying some dhal puri roti with a hearty helping of meat or sauce, just like my Caribbean brothers and sisters do. Eating with my hands, as many of us do, keeps me connected to our roots and traditions. I firmly believe that nothing beats the feeling of gathering with family and friends over a plate of seven curry, sharing stories and laughter in the process.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections I’ve made both locally and abroad. I strive to keep my culture alive through the stories I share and the experiences I promote.
