Hello! I’m Candise Trotman, a proud resident of Bank Essequibo, nestled in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up near the Upper Pom River, I've always found comfort in the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of my homeland. My roots run deep in this area, where the warmth of the community reminds me of the rich traditions that bind us together. From St. Monica to Pomeroon River Friendship Backlands, I cherish the stories and connections that define our way of life.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I take great pride in sharing our culture with those around me. Whether it’s through the delicious flavors of our local cuisine, like pepper pot or cook-up rice, or by celebrating our iconic figures such as Shivnarine Chanderpaul, I enjoy sparking conversations that highlight the uniqueness of our heritage.
