Hello! I’m Carlos Hubbard, a proud labourer from Good Hope on the East Bank of Essequibo in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amid the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of my homeland, I’ve come to appreciate the warm embrace of our communities and the rich heritage that defines us as Guyanese. From the bustling streets of Georgetown to the serene banks of the Essequibo River, I carry the spirit of my country wherever I go.
In my everyday life, I cherish the flavors of Guyanese cooking, whether it’s a plate of aromatic curry duck, spicy pepperpot on special occasions, or the sweet comfort of a homemade guava jelly. I often reminisce about the lively markets filled with fresh produce and the soulful exchanges of our people. My connection to Guyana runs deep, and I find joy in sharing our stories, especially when speaking about our stunning landmarks like the majestic Kaieteur Falls, which I hope everyone gets a chance to experience!
