Hello! I’m Carlson Henry, a proud Guyanese seaman currently residing in the vibrant Essequibo 1117 New Housing Scheme, nestled in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in Guyana, I have always been deeply connected to my roots, celebrating our rich culture and traditions that make our homeland unique. From the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the lush landscapes of the Essequibo River, I find inspiration in the stunning beauty of our country. You can often find me enjoying a plate of delicious curry or chow mein, dishes that truly represent the flavors of home.
As a seaman, I have had the opportunity to travel to various parts of the world, yet I carry the warmth of my people and the essence of our diverse heritage wherever I go. The camaraderie of my fellow Guyanese, whether in New York or the Caribbean, never fails to remind me of our shared experiences and vibrant community. I often reminisce about the joy of local festivals, the laughter over shared meals, and the stories of cricket legends like Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Ramnaresh Sarwan, whose achievements resonate with us all.
In my free time, I love to engage with my fellow countrymen and share the beauty of Guyana’s landscapes and culture through social media.
