Hello! I’m Cassie Melville, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, specifically from the 132 Okoo Quarter in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage, from the rhythmic beats of our folk music to the delicious flavors of our local cuisine, like pepperpot and cook-up rice. Every day, I am inspired by the resilience and warmth of my fellow Guyanese, who demonstrate an unwavering spirit despite the challenges we face.
