Hello! I’m Chander Yobepattie, a proud resident of Pomeroon-Supenaam, where I’ve lived on Public Road, New Road for many wonderful years. Growing up in this vibrant community has given me a deep appreciation for our rich Guyanese culture, from the mouthwatering flavors of pepperpot and roti to the lively sounds of chutney music that fill the air during our festivals. My roots in this land inspire me to contribute positively to the well-being of our citizens, especially during elections when our collective voice can shape our future.
Living close to the Lower Pomeroon River has also allowed me to cherish the natural beauty that surrounds us, often reflected in the stunning sunsets that paint the sky. I actively engage with my neighbors and participate in community gatherings, fostering connections that strengthen our bonds and celebrate our heritage. It’s these connections, whether through the local markets or casual conversations by the riverbank, that keep our spirit alive, even as many of us venture abroad in search of opportunities.
