Hello! My name is Chandra Das, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home, specifically the vibrant community of the 282 Housing Scheme in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich biodiversity of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our natural heritage. From the majestic canopies of the rainforest to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River, this place has shaped my identity and continues to inspire me every day.
As a resident, I cherish our local cuisine, especially the delightful pepperpot and the ever-popular roti. Sharing meals with family and friends is a tradition that strengthens our bonds and reflects the warmth of our culture.
