Greetings! I’m Chandradai Ramai, an Assistant Councillor proudly serving the vibrant community along the East Bank Essequibo, specifically at 23 Public Road, Good, in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always been inspired by our rich cultural heritage, which is a beautiful blend of influences—be it from our Indigenous peoples, African roots, or our East Indian and Amerindian traditions. Just like the delicious meals we share, such as roti and curry or the iconic pepperpot, my work is deeply rooted in fostering a sense of camaraderie within our community.
My journey has been shaped by the spirit of our people, often expressed through our lively gatherings, where the rhythm of chutney and calypso music brings everyone together. I cherish the moments spent along the banks of the Pomeroon River, where nature's beauty is truly breathtaking. As a proud Guyanese, I believe in the importance of community connections, whether they're here at home or within the diaspora, where we carry a piece of our culture, like a cherished family recipe, wherever we go.
