I grew up just a stone's throw from the Lower Pomeroon River, which carries the stories of generations past, connecting us to our roots.
As a resident of Tushen, I cherish the simple joys of life—sharing meals with family and friends, enjoying the spicy delights of our local cuisine, and connecting with the Guyanese diaspora around the world. I often hear comments like, “You really love hot and spicy food, and you never gain any weight!” which brings a smile to my face, as food is a huge part of our culture.
