Hello! I’m Chandrowti Ramsuchit, a proud housewife hailing from the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Living on the Essequibo Coast, I find joy in nurturing my family and embracing the vibrant culture that surrounds us. My kitchen is often filled with the enticing aromas of traditional Guyanese dishes such as pepper pot and metemgee, which connect me to my roots and allow me to share a piece of my heritage with loved ones.
My heart is deeply intertwined with the essence of Guyana, from the lush landscapes of the Lower Pomeroon to the comforting simplicity of our everyday life. Though I may find myself far from home at times, I carry the memories of my homeland in everything I do. As many in the diaspora express, “Ahaha you never know eh!”—there’s always a chance we can return and reconnect with our heritage, which fuels my hope for the future.
