Welcome! My name is Chanwattie Harricharran, and I am proud to call 16 Sans Souci Wakenaam in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of our country, I have always held a deep appreciation for the rich traditions of our people. From enjoying the sweet, aromatic flavors of a good pepperpot during the holidays to participating in lively festivals that celebrate our diverse heritage, I cherish these moments that connect us all.
As a resident of Wakenaam, I find joy in the small, yet significant, aspects of daily life here. Whether it's visiting the iconic St. Monica’s Church or taking leisurely walks along the Upper Pom River, the beauty of my surroundings inspires me daily. I believe that every corner of our land tells a story, and it is vital to preserve and share these narratives, especially with our diaspora community who carry a piece of Guyana wherever they go.
In my pursuits, I aim to foster connections among those who share my passion for exploring our roots.
