Living on 66 Front Street North in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I immerse myself in the vibrant culture and rich history that Guyana has to offer. Growing up in Guyana, I have a deep appreciation for our unique flavors, from the spicy heat of pepperpot to the sweet delight of cassava pone. I love sharing our cuisine with friends and family, often introducing them to the deliciousness of our traditional dishes. Our music also holds a special place in my heart; while some people might only associate Guyanese music with soca, I am proud of the diverse sounds that reflect our rich Amerindian and Caribbean heritage. I hope to share these experiences with the broader diaspora community, reminding everyone of the warmth and joy that comes from our culture.
