Welcome to my corner of the Essequibo Coast! I’m Charishma Naipaul-Gopau, a proud resident of Richmond in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up here, I've been deeply influenced by the vibrant culture, lush landscapes, and rich traditions that define our beautiful country. From the captivating allure of the Essequibo River to the joyful celebrations of Mashramani, my roots are firmly planted in the heart of Guyana.
As a food enthusiast, I have a particular fondness for our local delicacies. Whether it’s savoring dhal puri with spicy curry or enjoying a plate of pepperpot during family gatherings, I believe that our cuisine tells a story of unity and heritage. I often reminisce about the flavors and aromas that fill our kitchens, connecting us to our ancestors and each other, especially when sharing meals with friends and family both here and abroad.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
