Hello! My name is Charles Persaud, and I proudly call the lush land of Success, Essequibo Coast home. As a farmer, my life revolves around the fertile soil of Pomeroon-Supenaam, where I cultivate crops that nourish both my family and the wider community. Growing up amid the vibrant culture of Guyana, I’ve learned that food is more than just sustenance; it’s a way to connect with our rich heritage. I often share traditional dishes like pepperpot and metemgee with friends and family, celebrating our motto: “One people, One nation, One destiny” 🇬🇾❤️.
Apart from farming, I cherish the beauty of our natural landscapes, from the Pomeroon River’s serene waters to the bustling markets where the community comes alive. Each Saturday, the aroma of fresh produce fills the air, reminding me of the strength and resilience of our people. Although some might say that our country faces challenges, I believe in the potential of Guyana to flourish with the spirit of our community driving change. I hold dear the connections we've built within the diaspora, as they remind us of our roots, no matter where life takes us.
