Greetings! My name is Chatish Singh, and I proudly call the vibrant Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, this region is not only rich in natural beauty but also in cultural heritage. Growing up here, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our diverse culinary scene, particularly the mouthwatering flavors of our local dishes. From pepperpot to metemgee and the irresistible taste of Guyanese Chinese food, these meals remind me of family gatherings and the warmth of community.
Though I now reside in the diaspora, I carry the spirit of Guyana with me wherever I go. I fondly recall fond memories of playing cricket with friends in the open fields and the sense of togetherness that defines our culture. As I prepare for my next visit back home, I can't help but feel excited about reconnecting with my roots, sharing laughter with loved ones, and indulging in the delightful street food that captures the essence of our heritage.
