I’m Chavinash Nandram, a proud resident of 55 Walton Hall Anna, where the vibrant culture of Guyana flourishes among the rolling hills and winding rivers. My heart belongs to this beautiful country, where the aroma of pepperpot fills the air during festive seasons and the sounds of calypso and soca echo in our communities. Guyana is not just my home; it is my inspiration, and I cherish every moment spent on the banks of the Pomeroon River, or exploring the hidden gems of places like River Macrapana Island.
Having witnessed the changes in our nation, especially the recent developments in oil production, I feel a sense of excitement for our future. However, I also understand the challenges that come with progress, and I strive to contribute positively to our beloved community. Whether it’s gathering with friends for a hearty meal of cook-up rice or sharing stories about our rich history, I aim to connect people, celebrate our culture, and advocate for our diaspora abroad. As many of us say, Guyana truly is my favorite place on earth!
