Greetings! My name is Cheetraj Narine, and I proudly call the vibrant region of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Nestled along the upper Pomeroon River, my life is enriched by the lush landscapes and the rich heritage of my beloved Guyana. From the rhythmic beats of our folk music to the tantalizing flavors of a hearty bowl of pepperpot, I cherish the unique cultural experiences that our land offers. Having grown up in a community that cherishes both Indo-Guyanese and Afro-Guyanese traditions, I find joy in celebrating our diversity, especially during festive occasions like Mashramani, where we come together in colorful parades and joyous revelry.
Living in Guyana means being surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the serene beaches of the Essequibo Coast. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
