Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I work as a clerk, where I take joy in connecting with my community and serving those around me. My daily life is enriched by the vibrant culture of Guyana, from savoring a hearty bowl of pepperpot during the festive season to sharing stories of our beautiful landmarks, like the serene Pomeroon River, which flows gracefully through our landscape.
As a local, I embrace the rich tapestry of our heritage, particularly the lively Creole language that colors our conversations. Whether Iām at the market chatting with neighbors or sharing laughs over a plate of roti and curry, I cherish the bonds that unite us here. I often reminisce about the warmth and hospitality that characterize our communities, something my family in the diaspora often mention when they visit. They are always amazed by our churches and the spirit of togetherness we share during local events.
