Hello! My name is Chesta Gayadat, and I proudly call Bank Essequibo my home. Nestled on the lush banks of the Essequibo River in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I find myself inspired by the vibrant culture and rich traditions of Guyana. As a receptionist, I enjoy welcoming guests and sharing the warmth of our community, filled with friendly smiles and familiar faces. One of my greatest joys is savoring the flavors of Guyanese cuisine—from roti with chickpeas to a hearty bowl of pepperpot. I often reminisce about my adventures in the Upper Pom River area, where the mangoes are as sweet as the memories we make with family and friends. Living away from home can be challenging, especially when you're craving that perfect bottle of cassareep, but I carry the spirit of Guyana with me wherever I go. I connect with my fellow Guyanese in the diaspora, sharing experiences and reminiscing about the beauty of our homeland.
