About CHITRANJAN RAMSARRAN

About Chitranjan Ramsarran

Hello there! My name is Chitranjan Ramsarran, and I proudly hail from the vibrant community of 11 Endeavour Canal No 1 in Essequibo Islands-West Demerara. As a dedicated farmer, I’m deeply rooted in the rich agricultural heritage of Guyana, where the soil is as fertile as the land is diverse. My days are spent nurturing crops that flourish under the warm sun, from cassava and rice to the beloved cook-up rice that many of us enjoy at family gatherings. There's nothing quite like sharing a hearty meal of pepperpot and roti with friends and family, especially during our lively festivals that showcase the best of our culture.

Growing up amidst the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River, I hold dear the tales of our land and the warmth of our people. Whether it’s the sweet sounds of the linden and the call of the swamp, or the rich aromas from the market stalls, my heart beats with the rhythm of Guyana. Diaspora connections are strong, and while many of us have spread across the globe, we remain united through our stories, laughter, and love for our homeland. I often find myself reminiscing about the adventures on the riverbanks, where we’d gather with friends to share stories and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

Join me as I celebrate the spirit of Guyana, embracing both our history and our future. From the banks of the Pom River to the bustling markets of Georgetown, I’m passionate about sharing our culture and maintaining the bonds that tie us together, no matter how far apart we may be. Let’s connect and keep the warmth of our heritage alive!
