Growing up in this beautiful region, I’ve come to appreciate the rich diversity of Guyana, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the simple joys found in a plate of dhal puri dipped in braised beef sauce. As my fellow Guyanese would say, food here isn’t just nourishment; it’s a shared experience that brings us together, like the gatherings we cherish with family and friends.

While some may think that Guyana is often overshadowed by our Caribbean neighbors, I stand firm in celebrating our unique identity.
