Hello! I’m Christena Cooblall, a proud resident of the Demerara 2 South Housing Scheme. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been surrounded by the vibrant sounds of steel pan music and the rich aromas of our local cuisine, from pepperpot to curry. The lively spirit of our community truly embodies the warmth and resilience of the Guyanese people. Whether it's sharing stories at the local market or enjoying a sunset along the Essequibo River, I cherish every moment spent in my homeland.

As a passionate advocate for our rich cultural heritage, I often participate in events that celebrate our traditions, like Mashramani and Diwali. I believe in the importance of connecting with our diaspora, as many of us share a common bond, regardless of where we are in the world. The sense of belonging and kinship we foster, whether in our local communities or across borders, is invaluable. I often reminisce about childhood adventures at the Takatu Creek, a place that holds many memories for families like mine.

In my daily life, I strive to contribute positively to my community, emphasizing cleanliness and a strong sense of civic responsibility.
